Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School Digital Archives

Welcome to Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School's archives

A very warm welcome to the QEH Digital Archive.

We hope that you will find a wealth of information in this online archive and gain a great deal of pleasure from looking back through the history of the School. Since its foundation by John Carr in 1590, QEH has had a varied and interesting history as the City School some of which is captured here.

It has only been possible to launch this exciting project as a result of the generosity of Dr Ralph Midwinter (1942-1949) and of the Old Boys' Society.

The digital archive has a full search facility to enable you to explore by year, keyword, name or category (sports, music etc.).

Please see the online archive as ‘work in progress’ – we are adding regularly to this rich resource annually as funds become available.

If you have something you believe would add to our living history: photographs, documents or simply a missing name - please do get in touch.
